Hit by the Holidays: Telltales takes a break for August
August 22nd, 2010 | Published in Frontpage
It’s official, August is a difficult month to hold a reading night!
With so many people on holiday, making their apologies for being away or hoping to make the most of the last few days of summer across the bank holiday weekend, submissions and prospective attendance for Telltales this month are a bit thinner on the ground than normal.
So we’ve taken the executive decision to postpone August’s Telltales and take a well earned break too, coming back with a bumper volume on Tuesday 28 September at the Falmouth Townhouse.
The theme, Snapshot, will stay the same and those who have submitted for August will be carried over to September. We’ll put a real push behind promoting September’s Telltales and aim for our biggest audience and best programme yet, so keep your eyes and ears peeled.
Which of course means we’re now looking for submissions for September and just to remind you, Snapshot could mean anything; from a glimpse into someone’s life to an evocative photograph, from a split second decision that changes everything to a judgmental first impression – hopefully it will get your creative juices flowing.
Don’t forget, if you have something that you want to read out that doesn’t fit the theme submit it anyway, if we like it we might just schedule it – we’re not strict! Upload your work using the submissions form on the right, then we’ll get in touch to let you know if you have been successfully programmed.
Look forward to reading your work and see you all in September…
