Lady Luck Hits Falmouth – Telltales on 31 July
July 27th, 2012 | Published in Frontpage
After the roaring success of Port Eliot Festival, we’re bringing our roulette wheel-spinning antics to Falmouth for the next Telltales event, taking over the Rum Bar, Killigrew Street, on Tuesday 31 July, from 7pm.
With the same talented line up as Port Eliot, plus a few exciting new extras, the plan is simple. Each writer has prepared two stories, poems or extracts. We spin the wheel and see where the ball lands. If it bounces down on red, our writer reads out a happy piece and if it falls on black, it’s a sad one.
It made for a great set in the Round Room at Port Eliot and we’re sure it will go down a storm in the Rum Bar too.
With writers across the spectrum lined up, including Fi Read, Felicity Notley and Jane Pugh, we’re looking forward to a smashing evening of cocktails, stories and a spot of literary gambling.
Care to join us?
Doors open at 7pm and readings start at 7.30pm sharp. Best to get there a little early to be sure of bagging a seat.
Look forward to seeing you all in the Rum Bar, above Nancy’s on Killigrew Street, Falmouth (TR11 3PN) on Tuesday 31 July.
