Telltales returns to its traditional slot on Tuesday 26th November. This is following the Telltales special event on 9th October to celebrate the author Andy Mulligan. Andy talked fluidly and eloquently about his book ‘Trash’, telling the story of three dumpsite boys who make their living by scavenging and sorting through piles of rubbish. The book is currently being made into a film, which is due to be released early next year. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the evening and asked Andy some interesting questions about his work, one of the most surprising facts being that he wrote the book in just two weeks!
The theme for the November Telltales evening is ‘Home’ and we would invite all you wonderful Cornish writers to submit your work on this subject. ‘Home’ is a broad subject; does it conjure up a familiar and comfortable image or perhaps an unfriendly and menacing place? We will accept poetry or prose and, as always, we provide a local and encouraging platform for both new and established writers.
