Parabola Project Horizons: Submissions Close 31 August
August 13th, 2012 | Published in Frontpage
Between festivals and reading nights and competitions and exhibitions, we’ve lost track a bit and have only just realised that submissions for The Parabola Project: Horizons are soon to draw to a close.
Unsure of what the final date for submissions actually is – we’ve been spurting all sorts of different dates, sorry! – we thought we’d take this opportunity to set a definitive final deadline and details if you want to be considered for inclusion in the next issue of our award-winning little creative writing anthology.
1. The deadline for submissions is now absolutely and finally the 31 AUGUST. No submissions after this date will be accepted.
2. All submissions – poetry, short stories, novel extracts, graphic novel extracts, whatever – must play with the idea of Horizons in some way.
3. Prose submissions must be no more than 2000 words in length, poetry submissions no more than four poems.
4. Please submit through the form on the right. PDFs or Word documents only. Please label your documents clearly PARABOLA PROJECT HORIZONS, along with your name. Any submissions that aren’t labelled in this way won’t be considered. Sorry, but it’s just too time consuming having to work out who’s is what.
5. After the 31 August our reading team will go through the submissions and draw together an editorial contents list. You should be notified by mid September as to whether you have made the cut.
The theme for this year’s Parabola is Horizons so let your imagination run wild and send us your work. We want to make this issue the absolute best so far, so we’re really looking forward to reading what you send us.
Good luck and if you have any questions, get in touch.
