Telltales Change of Pace? Done. Next up Port Eliot Festival…
May 31st, 2012 | Published in Frontpage
What a great night! Thanks to everyone who came down to Telltales on Tuesday 29th May. A brilliant line-up, receptive audience and fair few cocktails made for a really enjoyable evening.
More please, I hear you cry? Well OK then, but you’ll have to travel a little further affield.
To the nation’s most eccentric garden party in fact.
Our next Telltales outing will be at Port Eliot Festival 2012, 19 – 22 July, where we’ll be placing our programme in the hands of Lady Luck and inviting the audience to decide the mood on the spin of a 1960s roulette wheel.
Submissions to be part of Telltales at Port Eliot Festival are now open and close on the 22 June.
Simply upload a happy piece of work and a sad piece of work (label them please) using the form on the right.
We’ll have a read then let you know by the end of June if you have been successfully programmed, leaving you plenty of time to practice.
Successfully programmed performers get a free weekend ticket to the festival and the pride-inducing feeling of reading out at a major literary event. Keen? Good. Get writing.
If you can’t make it to Port Eliot this year but still want to experience Telltales gambling with writers’ talent (!) come on down to The Rum Bar on the 31st July to see the set for yourself. Will it be happy or sad? That’ll be for you to decide….
