Telltales Lights Out A Success, What Next?
October 29th, 2010 | Published in Frontpage
The Telltales audience was out in force this week, filling up the Falmouth Townhouse dining room on a dark, wet Tuesday night to hear work from five exciting writers. With a focus on novel extracts, werewolves, murders and teenage angst all put in a turn as the evening’s Lights Out theme kept things suitably scary for the season.
And as promised, a great big chocolate cake sweetened proceedings, scoffed down to celebrate Telltales’ two years showcasing Cornwall’s talent from across the writing spectrum.
Yet another significant marker raises its head next month as Telltales first ever publication is launched. Telltales XXII will be on the 30 November and will also be the launch of The Parabola Project. We’re inviting writers to submit on the theme of Origins and the evening will take a slightly different structure, with a few submissions programmed along with extracts from The Parabola Project read out by the authors. There’ll be fizz, nibbles and a chance to chat, as well as the opportunity to be one of the first to own The Parabola Project. – it should be a great evening so put it in your diaries now!
If you are interested in submitting to read at Telltales: Origins, use the form on the right to send us your best stuff. We’ll take a look, plan the evening and then get back to you to let you know if you have been successfully programmed
Look forward to reading your work and seeing you all on the 30 November.
