Telltales – Adrift

July 3rd, 2026  |  Published in Frontpage

Hello everyone!

Our theme for Telltales in July 2026 is Adrift.

What might Adrift mean to you? Might it be:

* Being in limbo?
* A time of quiet contemplation?
* Unmoored or unanchored?
* Happy idling?
* Out on a limb?
* Forsaken or forgotten?
* Away from the crowds?
* Aloneness or loneliness?
* Between worlds?
* Lost in snow?
* Off-tune or out-of-rhythm?
* Still waters and sails down?
* On the way to the desert island?

We’re very much looking forward to seeing and hearing your creations in poetry, short story, prose or an excerpt from a longer work. Please think in terms of a maximum of 10 minutes of reading or around 1500 words.

Please submit your writing to info@telltales.org.uk by Saturday 25 July.

Telltales will take place on Tuesday 28 July 2026, starting at 6pm, at Falmouth Princess Pavilion

Thank you!
