Greetings everyone!

Our theme for Telltales in September 2026 is Wonder.

What ideas might Wonder conjure up for you? Could it be:

* The delight of being alive on this planet?
* A thought that keeps returning?
* Watching the sun at dawn or dusk?
* Reflections on how things might be different?
* A favourite song by a best-selling US musician?
* An imaginary journey?
* A lifelong fascination or obsession?
* One of the seven Wonders of the Ancient World?
* Or the new wonders of the Modern World?
* A seemingly impossible animal or plant?
* A magical trick that keeps you puzzling?
* Curiosity and its unexpected consequences?
* A recurring dream?
* Astonishment, surprise or marvel?

Whatever wonderful ideas you come up with, we’re very much looking forward to seeing and hearing your creations in poetry, short story, prose or an excerpt from a longer work. Please think in terms of a maximum of 10 minutes of reading or around 1500 words.

Telltales will take place on Tuesday 29 September 2026, starting at 6pm, at Falmouth Library on The Moor, in celebration of National Poetry Day. The theme of Wonder is being celebrated nationally around this special day.
