Telltales at Port Eliot

It was grey and a bit wet at Port Eliot on Saturday, but inside the Tiddy Tent all we were off to all sorts of times and places. We went to a very dark place in Argentinian history remembered in the present, for example, off to Detroit for a moment, and into a distant future, too, where being hit by falling detritus from space had become a distinction! We were invited to imagine how it might be to be a maple tree, or to be in love with a performance poet, to really have a fern in one’s life, or to see a performance appraisal that really rattled the appraiser for once. Rain? What rain?
