For One and All

April 27th, 2023  |  Published in Frontpage

Our May theme for Telltales is
For One and All.

We are seeking work which has positivity at its core, stories of giving & receiving, accounts of doing good and feeling good, writing about how we can collaborate with others to make a brighter and better world for all.

The inspiration for the theme comes from the life and work of John Passmore Edwards, whose 200th birthday is celebrated this year. A philanthropist, who funded 70 public buildings in Cornwall and London, he also campaigned against slavery and for peace.

Whatever your interpretation of our wide-ranging theme, we look forward to your creative input, whether in poetry, prose, short story or an excerpt from a longer work. Please think in terms of a maximum of 10 minutes of reading or around 1500 words.

Telltales will take place at Falmouth Library on Tuesday 30 May, starting at 6pm.

If you would like to read, please submit your work by Saturday 27 May to
info@telltales.org.uk

Thank you!
